how is travel a capacity BUILDING activity?

To us, to travel is different than to go on a holiday, to travel is to learn new skills, develop confidence and grow as an individual.

Travel serves as a catalyst for capacity building and nurturing confidence through exposure to new environments and experiences which will last well after the trip ends.

As individuals navigate unfamiliar terrain, overcome challenges and interact with diverse communities they will learn new skills such as planning, money management, problem solving, talking with new people and trying new things.

we work with each one of our traveler’s individually, and work with their goals and how we can incorporate each and every one into our daily practice while on an adventure. We work with individuals needs, wants and goals to tailor the level of support required by each individual.

Here’s how travel relates to some skill that are useful in everyday life.

develop independence- travel encourages self-reliance and independence as individuals plan and execute their trips, make decisions and manage resources. This sense of autonomy fosters confidence and a belief in one abilities.

Adaptable to change- travel requires individuals to adapt to new environments, surroundings and routines, this adaptability not only helps them cope with the challenges of travel but also prepares them to navigate changes and uncertainties in other aspects of life.

Problem solving - Travel often presents unexpected situations that require quick thinking and problem solving skills. Whether navigating a foreign city or adapting to changes in plans, travellers learn to think on their feet and find creative solutions.

It’s important to us that we create opportunities for growth and skill development in the adventures our travellers trust us to co-create with them, whether this in the planning stages or on the trip itself.

We offer pre-trip capacity building sessions around how to manage finances while traveling and how to plan an adventure.
